Wonderous Words Wednesday

Wondrous Words Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Kathy aka Bermuda Onion where we share new (to us) words that we’ve encountered in our reading. Feel free to join in the fun.

This week's word comes from Hush Hush by Becca Fitzpatrick.

1. flue- an enclosed passageway for directing a crrent as A. a channel in a cimney for conveying flame and smoke to the outer air B. a pipe for conveying flame and hot gases around or through water in a steam boiler. C. an air channel leading to the lip of a wind instrument.

"I couldn't see. I was in the flue"

What words have you found this week?

I keep trying to add an e to the end of flu - maybe I've seen that word and it's stuck in my head. Thanks for participating!

Flue has fallen out of use because so few people have fireplaces anymore. I've only heard it in reference to chimney flues.

My words are here.
